History was made at the Academy Awards thanks to the incredible talents of Asian actors. Michelle Yeoh is the first Asian actress to win the Best Actress Oscar award for her rousing performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Beyond winning, Yeoh’s nomination has shone a spotlight on the underrepresentation of Asian & Pacific Island actors in Hollywood, with only 6% of speaking roles being awarded to Asians.
